Safeguarding Awareness
This course is an introduction to safeguarding children and looks at the common indicators of abuse and neglect – Highlighting responsibilities and addressing concerns and suspicious. This course is designed to equip you with sufficient knowledge and provide confidence in dealing with suspected cases of harm towards children.

- Define 'Child Abuse'
Recognising the signs of Abuse
In this module you will learn to:
- Identify signs and indicators of abuse
- Understand and identify the categories of abuse
- Understand other forms of abuse
How to respond to concerns & what to do in the event of disclosure
In this module you will learn to:
- Understand how to respond to a disclosure
- Identify the 4 key steps to take in the event of a disclosure
- Understand confidentiality in disclosures
Reporting concerns when there is a Child Protection issue
In this module you will learn to:
- Identify who reports can be made to in relation to safeguarding
- Understand when to report a concern
- Understand the process of a safeguarding referral
